Edit: Sorry for posting on this issue again but it seems like my
previous #192 comment by premature, the X crashing issue is back. It
seemed for a while that things might be ok but now atleast 4 crashes
happen every hour.

i still have issues(#136) with the new nvidia-current-updates package in
Precise-Proposed. Over at nvidia forums I read that new version of X-org
in 12.04 is incompatiable with new nvidia drivers with older graphics
cards.

@markb #136 I have the exact same problem, thanks for doing better job

Just an update on 295.49, I have had a few X crashes so far. Much less
common than before but seems like I can live with this version for a
while.

@Ben A #127 Thanks for the link, everything seems to be working just

And oh I am on GeForce GT230. Just some additional info: The 3D unity
loads fine as long as i don't do anything slightly cpu intensive (like
loading a html5 video in firefox 12) and the gpu crashes and logs me off
(not shutdown but just log off). But 2D unity seems to work just fine in

I have the same problem as everyone here, I am using the 295.33 version
seems to have solved my problem. The nouveau driver worked wonderfully
as well. My only issue with nouveau is the high fan speeds are really
annoying and power consuming. I hope to see fixed version soon.
