I've experienced this problem since last month on the current kernel and
the one before that. The only solution I could find through trial and
error is to switch to a non-default kernel (like lowlatency)

complaints from at least 2016.
Three fingers results in a right-click now for whatever reason. I have
the appropriate settings enabled in KDE (I haven't changed them).

scroll button while pushing the trackpoint results in the cursor
freezing for a couple seconds.

I am using latest KDE, but I've observed it on Gnome too (on PopOS
18.04, based on Ubuntu). Probably a core bug in the libinput driver. I
have to xinput enable/disable my mouse every time I resume from suspend.
