I had the same symptons of bug 1 as described in post #432 on my asrock
330 ION, ubuntu 12.04 playing flash in chrome.
I upgraded the nvidia driver from the ppa channel to version 302.17:

Install" for this test scenario was...
1. Go to nvidia's website
2. Download their installation script for Linux graphics drivers
3. Stop X/gdm
4. Run their script
The expected results as defined in the test case did not match th

Should this be working on jaunty? My compiz still checks for the resolution
and fails with the message

I have this same problem with Jackelope, Gnome, Compaq 6710b laptop
(intel dual core) 4GB ram, i965 graphics chipset. No compiz.
Since some documents pointed out that it might be caused by other
processes, I started killing all my processes one by one until I only
had the gnome-panel and terminal
