I am still seeing this with Mint 18.3 and 19 on at least 4 different
PCs but with nvidia graphics. Is there a fix somewhere?

This issue seems to be present in 12.10 amd64 as well, and makes
dragging windows and selecting text almost impossible running as a
guest OS in virtualbox 4.2.4 r81684 with current virtualbox guest utils.
Kernel modules recompiled on this box without DKMS, as I couldn't get
anything else to work.

I'm running Karmic Alpha 4 + updates as of 30 Aug 2009. On my Acer
Aspire One 531h netbook I can enable edge-scrolling, but two-finger
scrolling does not work at all. When two-finger scrolling is set in the

The mouse cursor appearing on the wrong screen (it also becomes locked
there) has been reported in other bugs, eg bug 363375.
Easy work around is to alt+drag a window across from screen 3 (where the
cursor always appears to get stuck) to screen 1. If the cursor is on
screen 2 but is acting like it
I have upgraded to jaunty.
When I upgraded, the problems went away. I have had long uptimes on the
server.

On a newer system I've been using the 180/185 series driver from the

I wasn't aware that you could use the FX 5200 with 180.xx driver
release. Maybe you are using the 173.14.xx release too?
I'm don't think I'm able to try it the other way, i.e 173.14.xx on the
newer system as I don't think that release supports the 9 series GPUs.

Using the 173.14.18 legacy driver I also have this problem. Oddly the
mouse never seems to get stuck on the central screen. However, sometimes
the mouse will be on the middle screen, while highlighting text the
mouse will act like it is located on either one of the outer screens
performing the acti
ght of something quite shorter.
I see there is something similar on the wish list for nvidia-settings,
so I guess it is OK for now. Meanwhile, is there a work around?

You are incorrect the kernel patch is *NOT* in proposed. It is in the
tree but not in proposed. This most likely will not make the cut for an
Intrepid SRU. We are only enabling HW on Jaunty.
Additionally if this did get passed by the SRU team you will not see it
for another few months as
