Same cause, similar effects. instead of corrupted screen, I get bumped back to logon. Manually selecting sleep appears to work fine, only closing the lid kicks of the problem, and doesn't set the system to sleep. Big problem if you don't notice as you get cooked laptop in bag. -- [i945gm] Xorg
