As you can see clearly something is not working, its creating the
.xsession-errosr.old file which in my case blew into a 31G file. Why
cant we create this .xsession-errors file in /tmp ?

The problem really is that .xsession-errors file in the /home/ directory
is allowed to grow to an unlimited size. On my system this file got filled with
error messages from indicator-weather and filled up my entire disk.

T42, but I have been running it only for 4hrs now, will update with more

was no radeon KMS suppport, so lets see if my small set of kernel patch
backports work, then you will .
It will not be possible to do a complete back port of drm at this point,
I did a backport and I am building a kernel now,

@marc can you pls try with kernel boot option "nomodeset" , that will
disable the kernel modesetting feature which is not good. But atleast we
will know that the kernel boots.

If you look in the bios settings there is a setting for Brightness
control, and it is set to Auto by default, try changing that to manual
and see if you are able to use the brightness keys.

After shutting down and restarting the mouse is not jumpy, people have
observed that 1/5 times mouse is jumpy, and the rest of the time it
