With intel integrated gpu things are normal. With my nvidia gpu occured
two problems:
* I disabled login screen because it was creating two intances of Xorg
and gnome-shell each. I can see these with top and nvidia-smi. It
decreased cpu temps a lot even in idle time.

I'm having some problems related to the appearing of horizontal lines (I
think this is a VSync problem) in the Full Screen Playback flash
videos... This issue don't happen with other media players like Mplayer
or VLC (this issue is specific of Flash Player 10 in Firefox 4 or

restart X (after the problem) while others not. I reproduced it more

I've just installed your packages (building from branch) and they are
working fine. I'll report immediately if I have any crash.
The code is also great. I would just add that there is no need for
including gestureproto.h from xf86Xinput.c and that evdev should be
updated to depend of xserv
I've been using this code for a week without any crashes.
The crash frequency before this code was around 2 crashes a day.
I will remove the unused code as suggested by Chase. Any other suggestion is
welcome.
I know this code is not relevant for Natty, but if you guys intend to deliver

A crash on apport-gpu-error-intel.py occurs almost every time when my
laptop (Samsung R430) returns from Hibernate. The system seems to

My laptop is not the same as the reporter's (it's a Samsung R430), but
it has the same graphics chipset, has the same backlight setting
problem, I've used the same workaround on Lucid, and now it also doesn't
work on Maverick.
I'm running kubuntu 10.04 and had the same problem. First, it would fail
to parse the xorg.conf file, so i removed it and ran nvidia-xconfig. It
warned me that pkg-config was not found, so I installed it and ran
nvidia-xconfig again. Now nvidia-settings kept saying "Unable to open X
