with people from the LUG Balista we have solved the problem. My Monitor !
(16:9) settings are misaligned during the Update from 12.04 to 14.04. In the
LUG we have only 4:3 Monitor, so the problem was not reproducible. After more

Since the update of the version 1204 to version 14.4 I have on the right and
left of the screen a 4 cm wide margin , although the setting is 1600 x 1200 .
Maybe this hint helps in troubleshooting .

My english is not very fluently , but I will try to explain the problem.
After download my computer have a problöem with the resolution, only
vesa is possible. And other problems with xorg
