I finally installed manually 275.43 nvidia driver and fan control works
again. If you would like to try this soluce, don't forget to desactivate
all the nvidia driver in jockey-gtk and uninstall all nvidia packages:

Hello,
since "Precise Pangolin" upgrade, my GeForce 8800 GT fan is always at
100%, it's very noisy!!!
On Oneiric I put this lines in xorg.conf:
Option "Coolbits" "4"
to enable thermal settings and control the fan.
It works great until I upgraded to 12.04:

If you have this bug (blue and red color in video are invert) and you have a
nvidia, you don't have to install or uninstall any software.
Just launch the "nvidia X server settings", choose your screen (X screen 0),
"Xserver video settings", "Reset hardware defaults".

when I plug my xbox 360 pad, it takes the control of the mouse and the cursor
moves in all directions.
If I open another vt (ctrl+alt+f1 or fn+1) and come back to my graphic vt, I
could use the mouse again.
But if I use
another thiçng: the bug only appearing when compiz is on. If compiz is
disabled, my cursor have the correct cursor theme.

I found on a forum this solution:
in the /home/your_home_folder/.icons, rename the cursor folder name "default",
then open his index.theme and replace Inherits=core by
Inherits=your_cursor_theme_name
It works!
But why I have to do that?
Finally are you sure it's a nvidia bug?

I have the same problem on another computer with intel video graphic card.
When I'm using a cursor theme, the personnalized cursor does not appear on the
gnome-panel, desktop area, awn, windows icon and bar. But appears on icon on
the desktop, inside windows (not metacity).
