I didn't have new freezes yet. But my error in Xorg.0.log is different,
maybe your problem still exists.

With stock kernel I can reproduce my issue less then in a hour.
And this is ubuntu's mainline repo.
Seems I have a bit different error with same result, but you may try.
You can always boot to stock kernel.
I hope this testing result will point ubuntu kernel team to backport
driver changes.

One day without freezing. Seems it was a kernel-side issue and it has been
already fixed.

Booted up with maverick's kernel. WIll report later.
And I think I need to test once more case: new kernel but no opengl application.
The bug happens to me after screen goes sleeping for a while (timeout or laptop
lid closed).
