rarely return with low resolution (640x480). Wayland does not allow resolution

Turns out high CPU Usage and slow UI issue is unrelated, it was due to
CPU governor reset to powersave and always using min frequency.
But the issue with nouveau timeout and system lockup still stays I
guess. Unless it was triggered by low CPU frequency.

Tried 5.9.1 mainline kernel and got the same issue. The only difference
is Wayland recovered much faster (under 1 min). I didn't wait after
recovery to see if system will lockup completely and rebooted with

Cannot adjust the brightness in a Acer Aspire E1-570-6889.
The brightness key works and the brightness configuracion in the system
configuration allows to adjust the brightness but the display does nothing, it

same problem here, with a Series 5 Samsung running AMD A6 - dual

That's right. I described real and reproducible case. Somehow Apport
won't report about gnome-settings-daemon (and network-manager service)
crash and reports only about Xorg crash, but I think they all crash and
Xorg just the last one in a chain.
