Latest update- freezing has returned, complete freeze occurred while
computer was idle, only program open was Thunderbird, no flash or videos
were loaded or had been loaded at all, this time it occurred while the
screensaver was active )blank screen- and keyboad/mouse completely dead,

Update on my status-
Have not had a crash/complete freeze for 3 days, but screensaver is also not
starting at random points in time, been using Firefox and Konquerer and no
obvious difference. Have done whatever updates came through recently but not
sure what if anything has happened

Ubuntu 12.04 running on a Dell e2540 laptop with i5 processor, using xfce,
intel video card (i915), kernel 3.2.0-31, xorg version 1.11.3. Will happily
submit any other info people want- here is what happens on my computer
Start up- log in, all looks good, usually I start F
