I've upgraded my notebook with an SSD. All works fine and I can reach
the login in less than 10 seconds. Problem is I can't use the internal
keyboard (perfectly working on grub) for at least 10-15 seconds, then it
starts to working just fine. The touchpad and capacitive button

Xorg memory leak on 14.04
my desktop (running 13.04) is set to PT-BR, if I change language to US the
keyboard start acting strange as on others PC.
Setting to PT-BR my netbook and notebook solved the problem but I need an

another issue with xserver-xorg-video-intel and flash that seems to solve the
problem I have.
As reported on commentary #1 on bug 1178982, using UXA as accelmethod option
on xorg.xonf solve the issue of that bug
with the last driver I haven't more the bug...now I can use the browser firefox
and chromium without the crash of the system like in description

I believe that the best way to reproduce it is to use the "switch from

First, use an nVidia video card (my second PC using an Intel Graphics
Media Accelerator 950 does not present the same problem... or at least
it is very rare).

Process Xorg was stopped manually to be able to run apport-cli. Before,

I've tried with a brand new installation of ubuntu lucid:
With nvidia drivers (installed with graphical menu) I got the same problem
(system freeze and no video output)
With nv and nouveau it works well. How can I get some log/crash report from
nvidia drivers?

drivers from http://ppa.launchpad.net/xorg-edgers/ppa/ubuntu, left the

I'm testing Radeon 7000VE (RV100) on Lucid 10.4 and I got this issue, moving to
XAA didn't help...
For the momet I set the xorg option as suggested by arbeitstier in comment #78
and is better.

Robert, thanks for the update!
I thought that that should be the expected behaviour (as I stated in
comment #6), nonetheless that was not what originally happened (at first
nouveau didn't kick in, and it was necessary to manually modify the
xorg.conf file, as you see in comment #7).

A new message appear with today's image, stating that the nvidia module
couldn't be found, it still says that it was going to run in 'low
graphics mode' but this time 'nouveau' kick in, and everything worked
fine.

and then install it.
