I will add that the only way I have found to cure the issue is to run
xinput to get a list of devices, in my case the Wacom touch input is 15.
Then:
xinput disable 15
And no more touchscreen but at least I can use the computer :/

You are brilliant! Worked like a charm, may I also ask what "Option
"NoLogo" "True"" is? Does that get rid of the Nvidia logo maybe on boot?
