Please Note:
It is HDMI not LVDS.
This computer uses HDMI. It is the 1st Generation HD graphics for 1st
generation I5 processor.
For some reason the linux kernel (starting 3. ) sees HDMI port 1 is the output
port and HDMI 2 is the lcd screen. in the 1st generation of intel I3 I5
processors H
have to press the F4 key constantly to get the main
menu, then F6 and NOAPIC, see my post on UBUNTU under DWADE
I just had a problem were with windows 7 virtual in 12.04 that it locked
12.04 up. I had downloaded something, I am still searching., but it
destroyed my linux swap file, and corrupted the MB
what is plymouth?

12.04 will choose the hdmi output of th hd graphics on the gateway nv7922u
laptop when booting.
the installation disk does the same thing. but if you use F4 repeated on boot
the installation it will bring up boot menu then choose noacpi and noappl well
then boot into see
