have to press the F4 key constantly to get the main menu, then F6 and NOAPIC, see my post on UBUNTU under DWADE I just had a problem were with windows 7 virtual in 12.04 that it locked 12.04 up. Public bug reported: 12.04 will choose the hdmi output of th hd graphics on the gateway nv7922u laptop when booting. the installation disk does the same thing. but if you use F4 repeated on boot the installation it will bring up boot menu then choose noacpi and noappl well then boot into see
