unplugged, replugged, replugged into different ports, pushed all kinds
of buttons on it... still no trouble. seems fixed!

I could just install the kernel and wait for it to show up but due to
the fact that it's happening randomly it's hard to tell wether it is

I'm running ubuntu 11.10 on my thinkpad w520 (nvidia quadro 2000m,
nvidia-current drivers). Switching outputdevices is awfully slow no
matter how it do it. Same problem with keyboard shortcut, nvidia's
