Caveat: If I type 'alt' and enter 'terminal' I get no completion to
launch the terminal, so for the test I launched it using the sidebar.

Bryce, sorry I don't have those logs any more and the problem has since
disappeared. (I don't have regular access to the external monitor and
couldn't replicate it until recently but the problem didn't present
itself.)
