I moved all my applications to virtual machines, I use 6 VMs for that
purpose. One VM is dealing with all multimedia apps and I need all
codecs there. That is, why the Host OS is a minimal install of Ubuntu
22.04 LTS, so without any Apps except Firefox.

Vbox Guest Additions in my VMs to 5.2.6, I detected that that 5.2.6 Guest
additions introduced a serious boot/login problem for all my VMs. So as a
work-around I kept all my VMs at Guest Additions 5.2.4. I reporte

I see the bug report talks about software rendering, but I do use 3D
acceleration and the problem only occurs when I select 3D acceleration.
With 3D acceleration disabled everything work fine.

Conky window not transparent but blac
I am using exactly the same conky file on Ubuntu 12.10 and 12.04 on the
same hardware and there the windows are transparent. The same file on
13.04 gives the black background, that is a regression!
Besides slightly simplified files (no temperature readings) work in
VirtualBox with e.g. OpenSus
Yor debug tools don't work, so do not blaim it on the user.

however nicely with xubuntu 11.04 and before with ubuntu 10.10. It is a
HP desktop with a special powersupply, no spares here.

The crash occurred after a number of other crashes related to the Intl
8286SG GPU. It looks like support for it has been seriously compromised
compared to 10.10 where it worked without problem also in 3D mode.

The problem has been introduced in 11.04. In 10.10 I could use the
8286SG GPU without any problem, it nicely operated in 3D mode and it
turned the cube as expected. In 11.04 it does not recognize the 3D
capabilities and use the gnome desktop but that one is not usable
anymore.
