I have the same issue. According to the Xorg.0.log and Xorg.0.log.old files, my first X session was running on VT1 and my second one on VT7. When I switch to VT1 after the second login, I can see what seems to be a unsuccesful attempt to log in : init: unreadahead-other main process (717) termina
