Hi, just reporting an update.
Noticed a 6.2.0-26 kernel was released and updated.
updated/installed it, and booted into it.
And... nvidia loads and works again.
Feels a bit like a lottery, but happy still can use my investment with
current ubuntu.

Hi, after initial joy, the nvidia 390 started to work after
kernel/driver updates i notice nvidia 390 is broken again.
latest kernel: 6.2.0-25-generic gives the nvrm copy error:

Hi, black screen may be caused by multiple issues.
Is message "RmInitAdapter failed" message gone after restarting with nvidia and
kernel updates from last days? I noticed 2 updates. I had to remote login over
ssh to analyze logging before fix.
(last update installs new kernel, updates initrd and
23.04 had some recent updates with kernel and nvidia driver/libraries,
which fixed the nvidia 390 issue for me.

Fallback to intel works on local laptop, but prevents me using 2x 4K
external screens.
