The next version of Ubuntu already includes version 260.29 in its repositories (a version that works with the F series). It is likely that the latest version of the driver will be included in the final release and has simply yet to be included. Many of the members of the swat team are also members

As of tonight (after updating to kernel version 2.6.35-17 and xserver- xorg-core 1.8.99.905-1ubuntu3), the ignoreABI workaround works for me. My hardware is a GeForce 8600M GT (I'm wondering if ignoreABI working vs. not working has anything to do with what generation of chips is used). -- nVidia
