The default VirtualBox settings only give 16MB of graphics memory so the
screen will start to fail/turn black around 2K resolution.
Please try turning off the virtual machine and changing Video Memory to
64MB.

the dark mode sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. If i open
Ubuntu Software store dark mode doesn't work and i have to go back to
turn it back on again then it work's, its like it doesn't went to be in
dark mode when i open Ubuntu Software store. i
Not only the resolution is wrong for the USB-C display but also the
order is different. Unplugging and plugging the connector seems to fix
the issue (Ubuntu 22 LTS).
