need to know what message accompanied the crash. Next time it happens
please also run:
journalctl -b0 > journal.txt
or if you had to reboot then instead run:
journalctl -b-1 > prevjournal.txt
and attach the resulting tex
Please try running this command in a Terminal window to find out the ID:
sudo more /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id

So, this started about a week ago after an update from Ubuntu. I can
initially login with XWayland, but something loading after the desktop
appears, causes the session to exit. The only thing I can find relevant

Dell XPS 13 Synaptics touch screen does not work after boot but will
work after resume
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I freshly installed Ubuntu 20.10 and noticed that the touch screen does
not work. Tried xinput --list and then xinput disable/enable [correct-
id] but with no avail.
However, if I close the laptop lid and open it, after the system resumes
from sleep, the
xmobar on ppc64el seems to fail >90% of the time, so with that skipped
everything is ready
