Maybe that explains crashes with VLC since upgrade to 20.04, I recently
reported.
Shouldn't the system change it at some point?

I support Wes's statement about the importance of the bug. This is a real
dealbreaker.
I cannot write any short notes, no unsaved emails, temporary documents,
draw temporary images, because I use my OS in constant fear it might
break down out of a sudden.

Defaultly it is set to 1024x768. But my screen resolution is 1440x400.
I tried using terminal to add newmode and saved with the desired
