This is my temporary fix for the issue: 1. I pasted the output from the touchpad-edge-detector to the file: /lib/udev/hwdb.d/60-evdev.hwdb And uncommented whole default Lenovo Thinkpad T490 option (not sure it is necessary) 2. Applied the changes using: sudo systemd-hwdb update sudo udevadm tr
