It looks like using Nvidia on this laptop is optional. I wonder; can you
please uninstall the Nvidia driver and then tell us if the problem still
occurs?

3 years before my battery in full showed 2 hours after that something
happened on 16.04, and suddenly showed 4 hours, and I really had that
time left. No, it's showing 2 hours again (18.04.1). (

I'm not sure how the Nvidia driver can be accidentally installed. Can
you please run this command on the affected system?

I got the issue, today while using sudo (to use bindfs), just after I
