Well that did not go all that well. It got me stuck in a 640x480. Even doing
a xrandr -q only gave me that resolution.

I can try, but if I install the Nouveau driver that opens up a can of worms
here.
The graphics become completely unstable, shaking, with vert or horiz tearing.
Just completely unusable. It is real tricky to even get through the menus to
get to the drivers to get out of Nouveau.
