I am on a Dell XPS 13 9350 FullHD and I do have the Flicker under Kernel
4.4.0-18 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
I am a bit lost in all these comments, could someone tell me what patch
I can try to see if one of your patches has affect on my setup?

After further investigating, it seems this bug doesn't effect Haswell-E

I can confirm that tjaalton's above test packages fix the problem on a
Skylake laptop with an i7-6700 CPU and an Nvidia 970m GPU when using the
nouveau driver.
I installed libllvm3.8_3.8-2ubuntu1.1_amd64.deb from a VT then rebooted,
and now I have working Unity again.

[regression] Cursor mostly does not move at all
I think the issue (if it's the same) is even more strange in my case.
At startup the right resolution and rotation is used but I still get the "Could
no apply.." message. As soon as I press close on that message, the display
