hey ubuntu team,
I using dell laptop and I have problem while resuming system from
suspend, while resume from suspend it doesn't turn screen on/ resume
machine. I have to forcefully shutdown and restart machine.
And every time on boot it shows report error.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privile
I tried what deleting ~/.config/monitors.xml on startup, but it seems to
be re-created when you plug/unplug the second monitor.
What works for me is removing the file on startup, but also created a
cron job that runs every 2 minutes and deletes this too.
So when I unplug the screen, before I plug

Freeze while watching video in YouTube, video freezes but audio is in a

Hello, I've been having this same issue of full system hang/freeze in my Asus
Chromebox (Haswell) since I got it.
I've tried multiple xbuntu distros, kodibuntu and OpenElec and in all of them I
always had system freezes, mostly while watching videos in Kodi but also while
in desktop or watching
Deleting ~/.config/monitors.xml will cause Ubuntu to load the default
Resolution and Rotation values on restart.
If you want a non-default resolution and rotation and avoid this error
on startup, you would need to manually change Resolution and Rotation on
EVERY boot and delete ~/.config/monitors.
For me bug was fixed with updated kernel 4.2.0-34
