Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in RRCrtcDetachScanoutPixmap()

Ubuntu installed Kernel 4.2.0-22 via auto update.
After reboot the login screen came and the display resolution was set to maybe
800x600, no mouse or keyboard input was possible and after a few seconds the
password input stopped blinking and it seems that everything was froz

No problems encountered wile installing the system (installed on
VirtualBox) but after rebooting, and at the attempt of the first log in,
there are no graphics, just plain text. the problem remain
Christopher M. Penalver, as I switched to gnome-shell meanwhile and I
had several Xorg crashes since then (see my bug reports) I'm not sure if
this happened to me again since then. Sorry for that.
