The patch files in the Ubuntu package are just generated from the git
branch using format-patch. I rebase this branch each time I update the
Ubuntu package.

Yeah, it makes sense to me to just call xmir_output_handle_resize after
getting the mir_event_type_resize. I think we could definitely drop the
damage call as well - this will be done inside xmir_output_handle_resize
anyway.

XMir crashes when running with -rootless

On Xubuntu 15.04, when I suspend the machine and resume afterwards, the
screen remains completely white/blank. I can move the mouse cursor, but
I don't see any screen elements. Clicking or wildly pressing keys
doesn't do anything.

Summary:
Booting a Live-session, I reach the language selection. On click on "try
Kubuntu" without install, first the mouse changes to two balls circling each
other. Next the dialog goes half transparent and the mouse pointer is gone. It
won't react to any keyboard input.
I see this too with Steam, only for me the log string is " reporting 6 8 17
141". Ctrl-Win-D workaround seems to work.
Any updates on this in the meantime?

When I switch between users the screen turns black, sometimes the windows the
user has opened are flashed before it turns black. If I hold the laptop a
