system wakes back up, there is just a black screen. There is no
apparent way to get the system back once this happens. Interestingly,

This started for me just today. Interestingly, it affects my usb mouse
and my touchpad, but not my touchscreen. Also confirming that if I go
into the mouse settings and set the right button as primary, then the
right no longer works.

Actually I did this,

And it worked!! It might be because my patch was already applied but I'm not
sure because I only applied it to the deb package. But my graphics is fine now.
I even got the Catalyst Control Centre to work again!

I also ran xprop in gdb to see what may be causing the Xmir window to
clsoe and just the simple exit(0) at the end of xprop.c causes it to
close.
Based on the call to XCloseDisplay() and xprop exiting causing Xmir to
close, I'm wondering if Xmir is being too aggressive on cleaning up when
the appl
GTK apps are breaking this because at-spi2-core is calling
XCloseDisplay, not because of XGetWindowProperty.
I tried commenting (https://git.gnome.org/browse/at-spi2-core/tree/atspi

As explained in the bug description, the screen flickers constantly. The
system is a Toshiba Satellite A215-s7437 running ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS. The
video card (from Toshiba's site) is an ATI Radeon X
verified on the original hardware, with ubuntu-drivers-common 1:0.2.91.10
switchable graphics option now appear in Catalyst Control Center and works fine
in between two graphics.
