Forgot to mention, the problem apperas on mint 17.1 xfce. I wouldn't be
surprised to find it in 17.2 as well, because I encountered many
resilient bugs that are still there since 2011... and they all are
present in all ubuntu systems. It's very annoying.

I have the same problem on Asus X73B with Linux Mint 17.1, Did another
fresh install and the problem is still there. When having lock screen
with screen saver, cursor is visible, but when I resume without it - no
cursor. Also it happens only when closing lid, not when suspending
manually.

Sorry for late answer, I don't know why I hadn't received by e-mail the

I have tried today the latest daily image of 15.10 in a VirtualBox -
everything was running smoothly until I have installed the VB Guest
Additions - then the image is booting,

Sigh, with kernel 4.1.0.1.1~rc2 I just had the cursor disappear, so it
is not fixed as I had hoped. :\
That said, arround the time this happened I noticed this in syslog:

minimizing Google Chrome, xorg will freeze for about 30 seconds. The
mouse still moves, but nothing is clickable. After 30 seconds,

At least as of the code shipped in Wily, DRI3 on Intel still has fairly
