Yes, this issue.doesn't occur when I am using the default radeon driver.
I reinstalled ubuntu. Its now using the default driver and not fglrx.
The default driver though causes screen flickering at boot before the
login screen comes up. I get a purple screen followed by white

Ether it is coincidence scrolling issue is gone as it randomly seems to
be other times after reboot. or it is related. to the status bar.
It is late so i need to go to bed i can try disable it tomorrow and see

Now here is the same thing, again but where it is set to display on both
screens (DEFAULT)
on the external monitor (left) you can see that the browser is UNDER the
lancher bar AND if you also look you can see the top of the browser is
missing as well it is UNDER the top system bar", this was ALSO

well i did what you asked and tried GNOME Flashback (compiz) and the
error is kind of also there. not excactly the same but very similar.
only differance seems to be that the cursor seems to match the grafic
but grafics is distorted.
Now after switching back to unity every thing is foo baa and i
B. Bogart, to see if this is already resolved, could you please upgrade
to the enablement stack as outlined in

reproducible?

Christopher: What exactly do you mean by "Would you need a backport to a
release prior to Vivid".
I plan to stick to 14.04 LTS until its end of life, so if a backport of
xorg/nouveau is available it would help me avoid these very irritating
soft-lockups.

say click on Firefox, after say a few minutes browsing, Firefox freezes
then the system crashes and throws me back to login screen.. If I log in
