I just installed nouveau and after some hick-ups with plasma (mostly
related to dual-monitor) it's working fine now. I was able to
successfully suspend+resume twice in a row. As I said before the problem
is not deterministic so I will keep an eye on whether it fails with
nouveau as well but I think
While I was preparing to update bios I noticed that there were 2 settings for
touchpad in the bios menus. Mine was set to "advanced" so I set it to the
first option and booted. The touchpad now works. You have my apologies for the
incorrect bug report.

Just installed a fresh 15.04 and was surprised that this bug is still
there... However, for the ones who wrote "setxkbmap de" to
/etc/kde4/kdm/Xsetup it's /usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup now... (for the
new sddm which replaces kdm).

a choice to try or install and 'try' results in a blank screen (hard
crash?) with no ttys available.
