The daily build of Lubuntu "20150316" failed to boot into the live
session, and fails to install. During the boot session, the Lubuntu
splash screen appears indicating that Lubuntu was loading. What follows
next was a blank screen.

Hans Deragon, just to clarify, one doesn't need a spare computer to test
Vivid. One may either perform a dual boot, swap a dedicated and
temporary spare drive in, or test the live environment.

I'm running the latest development release of 15.04.
I recently updated the software (on Saturday) and since then the
proprietary nvidia drivers have been broken. The system start, but when
I log in the system hangs and my desktop is not displayed.

I had this problem too with non-working left button mouse(Miscrosoft)
and I found out that the reason was that the mute-button was pressed on
my Microsoft headset. When the headset is muted the button lights up and
the left mouse button pressed and hold down, aka I can use the mute
button to select
This is also affecting Ubuntu MATE 15.04 daily images for 17th March
2015. When booting the i386 or and64 images under VirtualBox is it not
possible to reach Ubiquity or the Live desktop.

Hi,
After searching half a day for a solution to the black screen of death
issue, I finally ended up at this thread. I am happy to report the
problem on Lenovo T61 with Intel 965GM graphic card on a Ubuntu 14.04
LTS is fixed by following Jamie's steps listed in comment #99. It does
need an update

On the new T450s too we seem to have the same problem (same touchpad I
think), I must use psmouse to get my touchpad working for the moment.
