VLC Crashes X when playing an FLV
I had the same trouble today. tried a second mouse and had the same
trouble. Tried a third mouse and that worked. The third mouse is
wireless with 5 buttons. The first two were wired with 3 buttons. All of
them worked fine on another computer. Hope that helps.

fixed by removing all the AMD proprietory drivers...
sudo apt-get remove --purge fglrx fglrx_* fglrx-amdcccle* fglrx-dev*
I am entirely new to lubuntu, so in reality I have no idea what I did or
why it worked, but it did.

To make clear the term 'put to sleep' - is it the suspend mode
(available by default) or the hibernate mode which made the problems?
I just checked the suspend mode with both workarounds, but I couldn't
find any issue with the wacom driver, after waking up the notebook.

I must admit, I'm beginning to have serious doubts about this bug getting
fixed. Considering the amount of people and programs that this affects, I
would have considered it a priority. Also considering that it will most
likely take less than 15 minutes to do, this just adds doubt about
Canonical's
It's 2015 now, we are /4/ months further and /NO/ fix has been ported
into the right channels.
This is a big shame and it shows the utter lack of quality control in
Canonical pushing releases

My mousepad broke and I had to disconnect it from my motherboard. Now I
use an external mouse, which works great in windows.
But in Ubuntu I can't move my mouse, the scroll button and the mouse
buttons on my external mouse do work.
