In order to truly fix this, nvidia-libopencl1-, libcuda1- and
nvidia-opencl-icd- will need to be made Multi-Arch aware. Right
now, the amd64 package includes the 32-bit libraries. Since wine is

This may be an X issue, or may be a kernel issue. After waking from
suspend, ssh into the affected machine and run "sudo service lightdm
stop" if the screen lights back up after killing LightDM the issue
probably lies in Xorg, where if the screen remains dark after killing

My last comment seems to be wrong - the crash just happened with KDE, so
no direct connection to running Unity. System worked fine before
upgrading to 14.04.

log into the machine to manually shutdown/reboot:

Was affected by the same issue. Managed to fix it by selecting "Use
graphics processor for scaling" on the affected display (under the
"Adjustments" tab) in Catalyst Control Centre.
