The upstream fix basically make it _possible_ to compile OSMesa without
shared glapi.
It seems that Mesa components except OSMesa do need --enable-shared-
glapi .
So I currently work around this issue as I don't install libosmesa* from
the repository.
Instead, I compile libOSMesa manually as:

I know this isn't a support system for Linux Mint, but for what it's
worth I put in another drive just to see if Linux Mint 15 with
3.8.0-19-generic would act the same way. Sure enough, it locked up on
day 2 of usage. Considering LM15 is based on Ubuntu this really may not
be definitive whatsoever,
This issue remains. I disabled some of the visual effects and now it
only happens about once a week, but still very random... The GPU

I am seeing the same bug in precise, kernel 3.2.0-44-generic. I have a AMD
HD7850 graphics card, on a desktop machine. After rersume from hibernate the
screen is corrupted, similar to previous discriptions.
