ati driver ,and an AGP X1950Pro 256M video card.

No, it looks like the original issue is indeed fixed by 3.4.1, however
there's also another error in the apport script (which is weird; it
worked just fine on my system). I've split that out as #1101800 and
will work on a fix for it.

I did a quick test with precise, and there can confirm that there is no
flickering when using precise. I have not tested quantal.

I have not much to add about this finding as the finding itself is highly tech,
beyond my knowledge. all what i can say is during last installation where i was
using a pendrive , evrything went Ok but the hard disk failed or crashed or
