Ok so I managed to get through my dependency woes. I figured out that
there are two packages that are architecture agnostic and those .deb
files are only on the i386 files so I got the kde-workspace and kde-
workspace-data .deb files from there and all is now good.
So now I have kde-workspace 4.9.

describe what I did exactly.
To upgrade kde-workspace:
1) Downloaded all of the .deb files from the link above with the following

I search a bit more and discover "nvgstplayer" included in the linux4tegra SDK.
It works great (seems, not tested so mush) with very low cpu usage, for divx
and 480p h264 files !!!

For some reason the problem has solved itself. Literally the reboot
after I sent in the bug it started working correctly without me doing
anything.
Very strange since the problem occurred consistently over several days
and 5-6 reboots. It could have been solved by some bugg update but I

Xorg crashed with SI
It happend for me as well, but I got a segfault. I attach my logfile.
Unity is running, up-to-date 12.10. Machine was upgraded a couple of
times and suspsened/resumed a bunch of times too.
