OK, so bash-completion is doing the right thing here; it's looking for
the next director,y finding the right thing and there is only one
directory to go to; so this is correct behaviour.
So, I say if this is a bug it's x11-common's.

(Note: I understand that this is an nvidia bug, and I do not have nvidia

I can confirm that the problem is fixed in fglrx 12.6 or later. My
computer hasn't crashed even once on suspend/resume since updating.
Though support for my hardwhare was briefly dropped in 12.6 so 12.8 is
the first version that's stable without having the annoying "Unsupported
hardware" watermark.

I can confirm that I have just installed th GMA3600 driver for the Acer
Cedarview from the Proposed Restricted Releases Repository and this
cursor proplem has been fixed with that update. This update has also
fixed brightness and resolution problems that that go hand in hand with
the cursor problem
