Thanks for finding this issue. Good work on making some patches, but I
don't think they are quite right. We need to set the internal button
state of the device when the touch begin comes in, otherwise we will not
get the right result when we call {X,XI}QueryPointer().
A simpler solutio
Are you able to reproduce this issue easily? If so, please collect a

directions. If not, could you describe the conditions under which the
crash tends to occur?

My screen hangs randomly. The only thing that is responsive is the
touchpad. I can mve the mouse pointer across the screen but cannot click
anything. The system cannot be soft-restarted too. The only resort is to
