I've installed Flash-Aid plugin for firefox and installed beta flash

machine while my keyboard is switched off, turning it on at the greeter

I am affected by the same bug. The freeze happens every time I
close/open the lid (I have the power settings configured as "do nothing"
when I close the lid).

I'm facing random X server crashes when running ZendStudio or eclipse. X
dies and lightdm restarts and presenting me the unity greeter. Very
annoying.
Dmesg logs the following line whenever X crashes:
ZendStudio[12648] trap divide error ip:7f0e1a972f68 sp:7fff6c3000a0 error:0
GeForce 6200 and 3D is still very, very, very slow. Not usable at all.
Top menu bar and side task bar still do not show up. Stuck in 2D at the
present time. Updates are up to date.

Problem : Ubuntu 12.04 freezes , not able to click any button on
keyboard or mouse , unable to go to console or reboot. the screen looks
3/4th black and 1/4th grey color. power off is the only option.

I have found that using X forwarding with putty is what triggers this
condition for me. If I switch to another tty (Alt-Crtrl-F2), I can list
the putty processes, kill them, and free X to respond to mouseclicks
again.

rebooted and had the issues still
login logout as mentioned before resolves the bug for a period

Can someone post some steps how to build in proper way patched xserver(? or
xrandr?) on ubuntu LTS 12.04? Seems i have been bitten by it as well.

Same problem here with a fresh install of precise on amd64. Looks like
only unity3d is affected since unity2d runs without problems.
