I'm having this bug using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) Beta 1.
The live cd won't boot. It ends with the loading Ubuntu logo being
corrupted.
Some times I'm able to do alt+sysreq+r then alt+sysreq+e and get to a
console and I saw a gpu lockup with nouveau in the dmesg.
I believe this is due to touch records not ending properly when touches
are accepted before they physically end. Since all touches on a touchpad
must go to the same window set, once you send multitouch events to one
set of windows you cannot send multitouch events to any other windows

Noticed this happens far more often when VMWare Workstation (or Player)
is running. No need to have it maximized or fullscreen, even running in
