Froze again. This time with twinkling caps and scroll lock indicator
lights. The only relevant message in syslog seems to be:

Nothing has changed through the recent updates of lightdm. Today I did a
tail -f on syslog while trying to log into Oneiric and found this. I
hope this helps some knowing person:
