1. mouse hangs , does not seem to depend on any particular activity, only cure
is hard boot.
2. if sound is playing approx 2 seconds of sound is repeated continuously in

It's been almost three weeks since my post. Any chance this issue could
get fixed soon?
After all the patch exists already so there's not much to do but to
apply and release it. This is easily solved but very important to us
because Xorg seem to update every now and then and when updated everyone

If you're running Ubuntu in a virtual machine, this can't be a bug in
fglrx. In the virtual machine you can't access the Radeon graphics
device directly. So you can't use the fglrx driver. Having fglrx
installed without using it can cause problems. So if you have fglrx

I have the same problem with a Radeon X1300 card and it can be fixed using the
'radeon.modeset=0' kernel option, so I guess it is related to KMS.
The problem was not present in ubuntu 10.04 and started to show in 10.10. It is
still present in 11.04 alpha 3.
