i915 (internal GPU) and Nvidia Geforce 310m (dicrete GPU).

There's a patch by Adam Jackson on xorg-devel to constrain the cursor
when all CRTCs are reachable which would resolve this bug. I've given
it a review, but it was before the holidays and so may have been missed
in all the absences.

I am seeing the same problem on my Sony Vaio PCG-TR2 laptop with
external VGA monitor. The screen is duplicated at the laptop resolution
(1280 x 768) and so only fills the top part of my external LCD display,

I can also reproduce the flickering after resume from RAM on my Acer
TravelMate 4002 laptop under Kubuntu 10.10. On my hardware
configuration, the flickering is not dependent on CPU load, the infinite
loop mentioned in the original post doesn't solve the problem for me.

updating to my patched version of mesa, he has no longer seen the crash
