1) Create a bootable USB Drive with 10.04 amdx64
2) Boot using this drive
3) Select to Run Ubuntu from Thumb Drive

This issue still seems to be present in Lucid - I experienced a number
of white (or light grey) screen crashes lately.
As it is rather hot here these days, at first I thought this could be
related to an overheating graphics adapter (xserver-xorg-video-ati and
the 2.6.32 kernel do not support power
Just want to share my expirience about this problem.
I also met the same issue in Kubuntu. After installing fglrx the
"bright-display" issue is fixed, however a new issues are introduced by
fglrx. The whole UI is much slower with fglrx. Just as an example, when
I click "Exit-Shutdown" the shutdown
Could someone affected by this bug try Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat"
alpha 2 when it is released in a few days time? We need to see if the
new Mesa and Xserver fixes this.

3) remove laptop from docking station via the undock button
4) open laptop lid, login via screensaver
5) close laptop lid, suspend
6) place laptop in docking station and resume via dockin

Previously with Karmic, I have been able to disconnect and reconnect my
USB input devices (Kinesis Advantage USB keyboard and Wacom Graphire 2
tablet connected to an Apple Cinema Display connected to a Belki
