tablet, in order to get it to move the cursor again without

worked up to Karmic, no longer works in Lucid. Anyone know how to turn

Thank you, I also had this problem after upgrading kubuntu to 10.04 from 9.10
and followed the same path of inquiry as you did. After doing:
$ sudo rm /usr/lib/libGL.so.1
I could start kde without any problem and there was no more error
associated ksmserver and libGL.so.1 in .xsessions-errors

The recent NVIDIA driver release does not fix this problem. This is a
problem with the X server.
The problem exists upstream and affects a number of other Linux

After an upgrade from 9.04 to 10.04 X had support for neither the mouse,
nor the keyboard.
Removing my previous xorg.conf did not help.

NVidia has released a newer driver that might contain a bug fix. Why
not release an update based on this driver ASAP? This issue is an
absolute show-stopper for me. To say that this is not a Ubuntu bug is
outrageous.
